The seaside city of Livorno in central Tuscany, about 25 km south of Pisa, is located at the so called Costa degli Etruschi, a fantastic place that still has the original charm of Tuscany, a place where you still feel the harmony between man and nature.
In this magnificent area the owners of the private beaches have pulled out the umbrellas and sun beds from the storage rooms again. Don't be mistaken: June, July, August and even September have passed by and yet at Livorno the weather conditions are pushing beach owners to reopen early October. They are taking advantage of the splendid, warm and sunny autumn days to attract people to their beaches. So dig up your sunglasses, sunblock, and go sunbathing, swimming in the sea or have an ice cream!
